FRANK C. ZEMAN
Frank C. Zeman, age 95, formerly of 733 Tower Ave., Kellnersville, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at St. Mary's at Felician Village in Manitowoc.
Frank was born Jan. 16, 1914, in the town of Kossuth, son of the late Frank W. and Mary (Kalista) Zeman.
He married the former Jeanette Steeber on July 13, 1946, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville.
Frank was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received the prestigious Legion of Merit award for his exceptional ingenuity and skill in handling all engineering problems accurately and promptly.
He worked for Antone Stipek for 22 years as a carpenter and cabinetmaker and Burger Boat for 12½ years until his retirement in 1979. He was a saw sharpener for more than 60 years.
Frank was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kubale-O'Connell VFW Post #6179, WFLA member, and a member of Kellnersville Senior Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed painting, woodworking, gardening and playing cards. He especially loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter: Valla Jean Heil; one brother: Victor Zeman; one sister and brother-in-law: Viola (William) Trochil.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. The Rev. Ronald Colombo will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum. Military services will be accorded by Kubale-O'Connell VFW Post No. 6179 of Kellnersville. Relatives and friend may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home in Kellnersville and again at church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. There will be a prayer service led by Sister Gerri Krautkramer at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday evening.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of St. Mary's at Felician Village for all the kind and compassionate care given to Frank.
