WHITE CREEK, N.Y. — Harry S. Baldwin Jr., 73, died Feb. 9, 2002, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 20, 1928, in Bennington, Vt., the son of Harry and Elizabeth (Gilbar) Baldwin Sr.

He received his education in White Creek and Hoosick Falls, and attended trade schools for plumbing, heating and cooling.

He married Marilyn Wayman on Feb. 13, 1954, in North Bennington, Vt.

Mr. Baldwin was employed at Stanley Tool Co. in Shaftsbury, Vt., and Mary McClellan Hospital in Cambridge as a boiler supervisor until the time of his retirement.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War with the 7th Infantry Division.

He was a former member of the White Creek Fire Department and a scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts in White Creek.

Mr. Baldwin enjoyed camping.

Survivors include his wife of White Creek; four daughters, a son, a sister, and nine grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a grandson.

The funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Brown officiating. Burial will take place in St. John's cemetery in North Bennington, Vt.

Friends may call today from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
