J. W. Allen, 88 of Eagletown, passed away March 20, 2011 at his home. The son of John Willis and Maude Alice (Dale) Allen, J.W. was born March 29, 1922 in Lockesburg, AR.
J.W. and Juanita Dubberly were united in marriage January 17, 1946 in Mena, AR.
J.W. served in the U.S. Navy as a Machinist Mate Second Class and worked with the Seabees. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing dominoes and spending time with his family.
J.W. was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Edwin Allen; brothers, Earl, Clifton, James, and Gerald Allen; one grandson, Jason Allen
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Juanita Allen of the Home; one daughter, Angela Allen of Conroe, TX; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Kathy Allen of Asher, OK; one sister-in-law, and two brothers-in-law; grandchildren, Brad Allen, Bridget and Bryan Allen, Ron Allen, Jr., and Robert Allen Smalling; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends
