Alphonso M. Reniff passed away at 2:30 Wednesday morning after an eight day illness with broncho-pneumonia. He was 72 years old, a son of the late Chester and Calista King Reniff and had spent nearly all of his life in this place. He was an active member of the Christian church. P.H.C. lodge and Spring Grange. He was of a bright, cheery disposition and had many friends. He married Miss Eliza Perkins, who survives with a son, Fay Reniff of Erie, and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; also four brothers and a sister. His twin brother, Alonzo, of Erie, Lucius, of Kent, Ohio, Asa and Fred of this place, Mrs. John Allds of Albion. The funeral will be held at his late home at two o'clock on Saturday.

He was a member of the Christian Church, Spring Grange and the Protected Home Circle, serving as treasure or accountant in each organization. Mr. Reniff is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Eliza Perkins, and one son, Fay Reniff, of Erie; also by four brothers and a sister, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held from the home at 2 p.m. Saturday.
