Confederate veteran. Enlisted on August 11, 1861. In battles at Perryville and Murfreesboro. Captured May, 1863 at Trousdale's Ferry. Paroled in 1865 at Charlotte, North Carolina. Post-war: married in 1866 in Hamilton County to Dolly D. Davis. Occupation: plasterer and day laborer. Died at residence in East Lake.

Captured by 36 OH Vol Inf near Trousdales Ferry, Smith Co, TN on may 29, 1863, sent to Carthage, TN then on to Gallatin, TN on Jun 16, 1863. Sent to Camp Chase, Columbus, OH on Jun 19, 1863 then transferred to Ft. Delaware on Jul 14, 1863. Exchanged on Feb 27, 1865 and forwarded on to City Point, VA
