James A. Hawkins James A. Hawkins, 72, of 6030 N. Atlantic, Portland, Ore., a former Burlington resident, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at a Portland hospital.

He was born here July 5, 1906, to James A. and Ella McGraw Hawkins. He married Lillian Gilbertson at Stevenson, Wash., on May 17, 1962.

He was an accountant and member of St. Charles Catholic church, Portland

Surviving: Wife; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Sharp, Mrs. Michael Mehaffy and Helen D. Hawkins, all of Portland; five grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Walter (Helen) Sebesta, Mechanicsville, and Mrs. Mildred Herdrich, Phoenix, Ariz

Funeral: Thursday, St. Charles Catholic church. Graveside committal services will be held in the North Sixth Street Catholic cemetery here at a time to be announced by Prugh's.

Hawkins, former Burlington resident who passed away February 19, 1979, in Portland, Oregon, will be held in St. Charles Catholic Church of Portland, Oregon, Thursday morning. The body will then be brought to Burlington, where a committal service will be conducted in the North Sixth Street Cemetery at a date and time to be announced.
