Lucy Pearl Dudley Buttner, 99, of Charlottesville, died on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 in a local care facility.
Born April 25, 1907 in Albemarle County, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Dudley and Frances Farrish Dudley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest F. Buttner; two daughters, Mary Snow and Eva Marie Buttner Norris; three sisters; and three brothers.
Lucy was a member of Cherry Avenue Christian Church.
Surviving her are two daughters, Rosalie Jones and her husband, Paul, of Bremo Bluff and Dolly Straley of Keswick; four sons, Terry Wayne Buttner and his wife, Frances, of Ruckersville, James William Buttner and his wife, Carolyn, of Concord, TN, Lewis Franklin Buttner and his wife, Lucille, of Geer, VA, and Ernest Eugene Buttner and his wife, Pauline, of Charlottesville; twenty grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 24, 2007 in the Hill and Wood Funeral Home with Mr. Scott Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the funeral home.
