"THE FOLLOWING IS A COPY OF A NEWSPAPER CLIPPING THAT IS GLUED INSIDE THE MIDYETT FAMILY BIBLE THAT IS NOW IN THE POSSESSION OF REV. WAYNE A. LAMB, DD.

Sister Alma S. Vaughn nee Midyett, was born May 2, 1868; was married to Rev. R.M. Vaughn April 12, 1888. Professed religion and joined the C.P. Church, August 1879. Sought and obtained the blessing of sanctification in the summer, 1888. Died a most triumphant death January 9, 1892. Sister Vaughn was in every sense of the word a good woman. She loved God, delighted in reading His work, was ever present to hear HIs ministers expound it, as long as her health woild admit. She had been in feeble health several months, but amid her suffering she was happy, fully resigned to His holy will. Said she would like to live for her husband and children but was ready and willing for the Lord's will to be done. She has indeed left a legacy for her children. "She hath done what she could." Sister Vaughn loved the WAY OF LiFE, and had rich seasons of grace in reading its dear pages. Sister Vaughn was the mother of two children, one which preceded her to a better land; the other an infant, together with a step-son, are left without the love and care that only a mother can give. May they follow her as she followed Christ. May this dark dispensation of God's providence bring all her loved ones nearer to God. Her husband, father and mother and in the experience of ths perfect love which enables them to say, "Thy will be done." Three sisters in the Church, one brother and sister yet unsaved. Pray for the salvation of her brother and sister, and the sanctification of her three sisters.

"Dearest sister, thou hast left us,
Here our loss we deeply feel,
But this God that hath bereft us;
He can all our sorrows heal."
