2 Asphyxiated in Kalamazoo Home
KALAMAZOO Dec 15--(UP)--A verdict of accidental death was given today by Dr. R. G. Cook, county coroner who investigated the deaths of Mrs. Blanche Cree, 36, and her daughter, Mary Jacqueline, 11 who were found asphyxiated in their home.
Jacob Cree, a paper mill worker who was father and husband of the victims, found their bodies upon returning from work on the night shift. A gas jet on the stove was partly opened. Police believe the jet was left in this position accidentally or had been opened by the family dog.
