Services were held this morning in Adamson's Sheridan Funeral Home for a longtime Willamina resident, Glen Leroy Magers of Rt. 1, Box 355.
Mr. Magers died April 22, 1983, in the Polk Community Hospital in Dallas. He was 74. Interment was in Green Crest Memorial Park in Sheridan.
Born in Norcatur, Kan., July 1, 1908, he was the son of Jess I. and Elma Cox Magers.
He and Ava Allen were married Aug. 21, 1928, in Nebraska. They moved to Willamina in 1941 and had made their home there since that time.
Mr. Magers was a truck driver for the Zimbrick Logging Co. until his retirement in 1973.
Survivors include his wife, Ava Magers of Willamina, four sons, Vern Magers of Sheridan, Allen Magers of Dallas, Forrest Magers of Pendleton and Howard Magers of Corvallis, three daughters, Linda Ferrell and Marilyn Rosenbalm both of Willamina and Glenva Clark of Roseburg; 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Willamina Christian Church Building Fund.
