Death of a Well-Known Woman.- Mrs. Elizabeth McCalin, well known to all the older residents of Portland as the wife of Dr. A. M. Loryea, died at Good Samaritan hospital yesterday afternoon. She was the daughter of James B. Stephens, and gained for herself considerable notoriety in an effort to break her father's will. The cause of death was consumption.
