From the "North Platte Telegraph", 1934:
"Grace Amelia Lind was born in Stromsburg, Nebraska, May 9, 1892, the daughter of Benjamin and Esther Josephine Lind. She passed away at her home west of North Platte, February 17, 1934, at the age of 41 years, 9 months and 8 days. Her early life was spent in Stromsburg, where she attended the public grammar and high schools and where she was confirmed in the Methodist Episcopal church at the age of 14 years. Grace Ludden was reared in a Christian home, and was a woman of sterling character. A woman with a very pleasant personality.
On April 29, 1913, she was married in her home in Stromsburg to Julian Pratt Ludden. For three years they resided in Stromsburg, then moved to Osceola, Nebr., where they resided three years. In 1920 they located northwest of North Platte. Mrs. Ludden was the mother of four children, Ralph Woodrow, age 18 years, Eva Jeanne, aged 16, Josephine Effie aged 14, and Margaret Ann, aged 12.
Her husband, Julian P. Ludden and the four children survive; also her mother, Mrs. A.B. Lind of Stromsburg, six sisters and four brothers; Mrs. Gilbert Colson, Stromsburg, Mrs. F.O. Johnson, North Platte, Mrs. Paul Scharmann, Laramie, Wyoming, Miss Gertrude Lind, Moline, Illinois, and Miss Bernice Lind and Miss Irene Lind of Stromsburg; George C. Lind of Benedict, Elmer V. Lind, Sutherland, Benjamin R. Lind, North Platte; William A. Lind, Laramie, Wyoming.
The mother and all of the sisters and brothers and their spouses were present at the funeral services.
Funeral services were held in the North Platte Methodist church on Tuesday, February 20, at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. F.E. Pfoutz in charge. Palbearers were Clarence Sullivan, William Waugh, Lester McConnell, William D. Spurrier, Charles Fry and Floyd Holbrook. Interment was in the North Platte Cemetery."
