Lonie M. Gerler, 62, of Gorham, was dead on arrival at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, Saturday, Feb. 3, 1979.
Death was attributed to natural causes.
Mrs. Gerler was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Jacob and the Ladies Aid of that church.
She was born June 26, 1916, in Altenburg, Mo., to Ernst and Ida Weber Stueve. She was married Nov. 1, 1936, at Altenburg, to Roland J. Gerler.
Survivors include her husband of Gorham; one daughter, Marjorie Hanna of Jacob; four sons, Milton Gerler of Gorham, Milford Gerler of Crestwood, Norman Gerler of Whittier, Calif., and Harvey Gerler of Ava; one brother, Leo
Stueve of Neosho, Mo.; one sister, Cordia Nebel of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; and 15 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
One brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Christ Lutheran Church of Jacob. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Wilson Funeral Home in Ava after 4:30 p.m. today until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, then at the church.
