MAUD M. INGALLS Was born February 8, 1915 in Sheffield, England and died March 21, 2011 at 96. Maud immigrated to the USA with her mother in 1919 on the USS Lapland, the first steam ship to leave England after World War I. She worked for Maclin-Caldwell Auctions as a cashier for 30 years. Maud attended the Community Church of Norco. She was an active member of The Norco Lions Club and was involved in several veterans groups, The American Legion and The Lighthouse for the Blind. Ingalls Park in Norco is named for her son, George Alan Ingalls, who died in 1967, and received the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions in the Vietnam War. Maud was preceded in death by her children, George and Margaret Muriel. She is survived by sons, Joe M. Ingalls (Donna) and Chuck Dimon (Dee); 5 grandchildren, Brenda, Jackie, Christopher, Michelle and Terry and 6 great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Brianna, Aiden, David, Ashley and Kaileigh. Services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011, 10:00am at Community Church of Norco, 3871 Valley View Ave., Norco, CA 92680. Interment will follow at Pierce Bros. Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside, CA. Services entrusted to: Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary (951) 689-1441. Published in Press-Enterprise on March 26, 2011.
