Obit for Emma Turner Copsey
Death of Mrs. Copsey
Mrs. Geo. Copsey who passed from earthly life on Thursday of last week, was born in this county March 26th 1870. She was the daughter of John Turner. Some seven years ago she was married to Geo. W. Copsey of this place, the fruits of the union are two children. A few years ago her health began failing and then it was feared by her family that she was a victim of that dreaded disease consumption, which fears soon proved true, and for the past two years she had been failing fast and last year has been a constant though patient sufferer. She in all this time realized that she was beyond medical skill, but withal she seemed cheerful to the last, appreciating the efforts and kindness of loving hands who administered to her every want. She leaves a husband, two little children, a father, two brother and a sister, beside numerous friends who mourn her death. Her funeral occurred on Saturday from the Christian Church, Rev. Mr. Watson of Lakeport conducting the services, and was followed to her last earthly resting place by a large member of friends and neighbors who deeply sympathize with the bereaved husband and family in this their sad loss.
