Pearl Jones was born to the union of George Duckett and Maime (Lindsay) Duckett in Idabel, Oklahoma in 1924.

She was employed with Hunts and DelMonte Food Services and retired from Gerber Baby Foods in June 1985.

Sister Jones united with Church of Christ in Oakland, California for many years under the pastorship of Minister Stenett. She was a devoted mother, wife and friend to many. She was blessed with a helping spirit and helped those who needed her and was always there. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and love for all. Her warm embrace and face will be missed.

She departed this life on August 20, 2004 in Oakland, California. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Jones, Sr.; two sons, James Jones, Jr. and Ellis (Sonny) Jones; and daughter, Christine Aubrey.

Pearl leaves behind to cherish in her memories two sons, Eugene Jones and Obbie Jones; daughter, Edna Stoglin and husband, Larry Stoglin; sisters, Pearl Lee Smith of Sacramento and Fairrillia Pitchford from Vallejo, California; one brother, Carmen Duckett of Oakland, California; grandchildren, LaJuana Lewis, Chris Aubrey, Carolyn Aubrey, Terry Edwards, Jermaine Edwards, Valaria Downing, Estelle Yancy, Lisa Jones and Lovonne Jones; eighteen great-grandchildren; one very special and dear friend, LeRoy Adams (Pops); friends, Eddie Ray and Teekela Moore; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fouche's Hudson Funeral Home, 3665 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, California.
