Mrs. Irene Peters CHARLOTTE. Jan. 15 Mrs. Irene Vera Peters, 74. of 320 1/2 East Lovett street, cuea Tuesdav at a local hospital where she had been a patient for 62 days. She was born in Springport township, Jackson county, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Burgess, and was the widow of Elmer N. Peters, a prominent local attorney who died in 1934. She had been a resident of this vicinity for 41 years. She was a member of the Congregational, church, of Eastern Star. White Shrine. Pythian Sisters. Sunshine club, and the Altrustic club. Surviving are two sons. Vine Peters of Charlotte and DeWitt Peters of Charlevoix: a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Hoffman of Jackson; and a sister. Mrs. Harriet Prine of Flint. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 o'clock from the Rurkhead chapel. Rev. Russell H. McConnell of the Congregational church officiating with burial in Maple Hill cemetery.
