Eva Meeks Johnson died in Visalia, California on March 22, 2011. She was born December 19, 1919 to Isaiah and Minnie Chatterlie Meeks. Eva married her sweetheart, Edward Johnson, October 12, 1940; he preceded her in death in 2003. Eva enjoyed dancing, bowling and doing projects with and for her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Janet (Carl) Cooper of Visalia, CA; Wayne (Bonnie) of Littlefield, AZ; Eugene (Helen) of Colorado Springs, CO; and Jay (Betty) of Murray, UT. Also survived by 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward and her granddaughter, Twila. Graveside services will be Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Murray City Cemetery, 5600 So. Vine Street. Friends and family may call from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street. A celebration of her life will be held at the Murray Elks Lodge, 4894 So. State Street, following the graveside services.
