Andrew Warren Buttler, age 89, of Canyon Lake, passed away Friday, July 10, 2009. He was born February 1, 1920 in Sabinal, Texas to Andrew Jackson Buttler and Pearl (Worden) Buttler. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and married Neva Pearl Wishard on January 11, 1946 in Houston. He was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was a member of First Baptist Church at Canyon Lake.

Mr. Buttler was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Buttler; brothers, Walter Buttler, John Lloyd Buttler; sisters, Martha Eunice Bates, Dora Lee Wiley, Gertrude Kessler and Ada Mae Larsen.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Neva Pearl Buttler; sons, Robert Buttler and wife Becky, Alan Buttler and wife Carol; daughter, Brenda Land and husband Johnny; daughter-in-law, Renee Buttler. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Kevin Buttler and wife Kerry, Jared Buttler and wife Carla, Patrick Land and wife Connie, Christy Bowers and husband Bubba, Shelly Buttler, Brooke Buttler, Sandy Andrew, Laura Buttler and Brandon Buttler; and ten great grandchildren, Christopher Bowers, Colin Bowers, Jordan Land, Eric Land, Breanna Buttler, Brandt Buttler, Branson Buttler, Olivia Buttler, McKenvey Andrew and Justin Buttler.

Funeral service was held at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home of Canyon Lake on July 15th, 2009 with interment following at Mountain Valley Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to the First Baptist Church of Canyon Lake.
