Richard P. Martin, age 81 of Pickerington, OH, passed away Monday, October 5, 2009, at Mt.CarmelEastMedicalCenter. Born June 9, 1928, in Chicago, IL, to the late Benedict and Helen Martin. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, then retired from Lucent Technologies, in Columbus, OH. Richard graduated from the University of Kentucky were he was a member of the 1950 National Champion Football Team. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Richard is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary; children, Eileen (Robert) Wallace, John Martin, Kathy (Bucky) Bauchmoyer, Ann Griffin, Frank (Barbara) Martin and Tim (Amy) Martin; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Charles and David Martin; and many friends. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Therese Lawson and brothers James and Daniel Martin.
