Arnold was a lifelong resident of El Dorado County, living most of his life in the Pilot Hill District where he was a rancher. He never married.
He was survived by one brother, Fred Luneman of Springvale; and five sisters, Margaret Carpenter of Rescue, Katherine Stone, Mary O'Toole and Ann Butler, all of San Francisco, and Louise Luneman of is known as Sister Mary Hermias of Marylford, OR.
