Donald F. "Don" Tillman was born on January 19, 1926 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Forrest and Wavie A. (Bowman) Tillman. He died on Monday, March 28, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army, during WWII. He was reared and educated in Wichita Falls Texas and graduated with the Wichita Falls High School Class of 1944. He was married on February 16, 1946 in Camp Roberts, California to Irene E. Day. He spent 36 years working for Continental Oil Company as a Terminal Supervisor. Don enjoyed a variety of pastimes including competitive horseshoe pitching; fishing; sports; working in the yard and spending time with his family. Loving family members include: Wife of 65 years, Irene, of the home; son; Terry W. Tillman and his wife Lynda, of Lubbock, Texas; daughter; Donna Jackson and her husband David Lemay, of Talala, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; Travis Tharp and his wife Kari, Lynsey Peterson and her husband Kevin Wall, Scott Tillman and his wife Kelly, Katie Tillman; five great grandchildren; Ashley, Garrett, Amber, Tyler Wall, and Tyler Tillman. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso, Oklahoma with Pastor Kevin Laufer officiating.
