Born in Euclid, he was a life resident of Clay. He was a member of Beacon Baptist Church. He delivered the Herald-Journal and Herald American for 20 years.
Surviving are three nieces, Geraldine Gates of Pennellville, Virginia Davis of Baldwinsville and Roberta Higgs of Phoenix; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday in Beacon Baptist Church, Route 31. Burial is in Pine Plains Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. today at Maurer Funeral Home, Moyers Corners, 3541 Route 31
