About 1820, Nancy Cornwell married Luke Wood in Rutherford County, North Carolina. They could have had more than ten children. Their five known children are:
1. William Wood
2. Lydia Amanda Wood Hudlow
3. Mary Wood Bryant
4. Caroline Wood
5. Martin Van Buren Wood
On the 1850 U.S. Federal Census, Nancy Wood was living next to David Hill and her son, William in the Yellow Creek District of Dawson County, GA.
The last known record of Nancy Wood was on the 1860 U.S. Federal Census. She was living with her daughter and son-in-law, Lydia and Joseph Hudlow in the Yellow Creek District of Dawson County, GA. So, she must have died after June 9, 1860 and before the next census in 1870.
I believe that she would be buried at this church cemetery since her daughter and son-in-law are buried here. This is one of the oldest churches in the area (circa 1840) and many of the people buried here came from Rutherford County, NC.
