He is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Diane Powell of Dunellen; his son, David J. Powell Jr., of Somerset; his daughter, Deonna Powell of Raritan; his sister, Janette Powell of Piscataway; his niece, Rachael Parent; two great nieces; one great nephew and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all of whom loved him dearly and will greatly miss him.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10:00 am at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd., Piscataway, NJ 08854 followed by interment in the Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. Visitation hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home.
