One Killed, Two Hurt
When Auto Fails
To Negotiate Curve

MOUNTAIN HOME - One man was Killed and two persons were injured Monday night when their automobile left the highway and rolled over "at least five times," Elmore County Sheriff Art Stevens said.
Sheriff Stevens said Tom Caudle, about 45, was killed instantly when thrown from the rolling automobile.
Caudle was driving the car at the time, the sheriff said.
Stevens said there were two passengers in the car. One, Hugh Ridenour of Grandview, suffered a shoulder injury, and the second passenger, whose name was not learned immediately, suffered facial lacerations, Stevens said.
The accident happened on a sharp curve on the Grandview road about 17 miles south of Mountain Home, Stevens said. The car rolled "at least five times and maybe six times," the sheriff said, when it failed to make the turn and went into the barrow pit. The automobile, he said, was demolished.
The trio were en route to Grandview at the time of the crash.
Caudle's survivors include his wife who resides in Boise, Stevens said.
Bey chapel of Mountain Home is in charge of service arrangements.
