A native of Morgan County, she was a daughter of Joseph Brown and Georgia Autry Brown. She had made her home in Walton County since 1977 having moved from Porterdale. She had been an employee of Bestovall Foods and a member of the Baptist faith.
Interment was in Hill Haven Memory Gardens.
She is survived by daughters, Wanda Geiger of Monroe and Dorothy Blackwell of Social Circle; sons, Lamar Byrd and Travis Byrd, both of Monroe and Joe Byrd of Butler: sister, Sara Jo Morrell of Good Hope; brother, Johnny Brown of Monroe; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
She was predeceased by a son, Hoyt Byrd.
