BEDINGFIELD, The Rev. Warren: 80, of 5720 Wayne Drive, Lizella, died Wednesday in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park. The Rev. Andy Oxford and the Rev. Aubry Estes will officiate. The Rev. Bedingfield was born in Laurens County and was educated in the theology field. He was a graduate of Mercer University and the New Orleans Theological Seminary. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as lieutenant colonel with 20 years of service. Rev. Bedingfield served as pastor of several churches in Griffin to include Oak Hill Baptist Church and Highland Baptist Church. He was a member of Tattnall Square Baptist Church where he served for several years as associate pastor. Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Bedingfield of Lizella; sons, Randall Bedingfield of Macon, Barry Bedingfield of Twiggs County; daughter and son-in-law, Kim Marie and Stephen Cox of Stone Mountain; five grandchildren, Amanda, Cherie, Adam, Benjamin and Matteus; brother and sister-in-law, James Walter and Mikel Bedingfield of Columbus; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Bedingfield of Moultrie and Mary Al Bedingfield of Cadwell.
