Monday, February 23, at Homestead, FL Asa E. Campbell passed away. The young man had been ill for several months. His body was sent to Monticello and laid to rest in Harmony Cemetery on the Augustine Road between Lamont and Sirmans. The funeral was in charge of Wilkins Funeral Home. He was born October 19, 1923 in Madison County and attended schools in Madison and Taylor Counties where he gained many friends, served in the U. S. Coast Guard 3½ years and had gone to Homestead for the winter. He leaves to mourn his wife, Mrs. Jetay Campbell, his mother, Mrs. W. A. Campbell, 4 sisters and 2 brothers; Mrs. W. G. Vann, of Shady Grove; Mrs. Y. E. Barker, of Tampa; Mrs. E. D. Aman, of Homestead, Mrs. A. C. Worley, Jr., of Miami, Mr. A. D. Campbell, of Miami and Mr. D. R. Campbell, of Lamont. Madison Enterprise
