I cannot find the grave of Sarah's husband, Dr. Jesse Morgan Burns. My family research says that Dr.Burns contacted an illness that he was treating his patients and died, April 20, 1860. They were married Jun 19, 1845. They were living in Cherokee County, Al at that time. Cherokee County has a lot of back water from the dam on the Coosa River and many of the graves were moved.
Sometime after Dr. Burns died Sarah moved to Blount county, Al. Sarah and Jesse had six children before he died.
(1) James Madison Burns, B: Apr 8, 1847: (2) Martha, B: May 20, 1848: (3) Samuel Newton, B: Mar 3, 1850: (4) William Brantley, B: May 17, 1854: (5)David Abraham, B: May 12, 1856
(6) Robert D, B: Sep 15, 1858.
She raised her children here in Blount County, AL and died on her birthday, Feb 14.
