Mollie Coe Freese

Lander - Services for Mollie Coe Freese, 94, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home by Rev. Mel Ashby of Church of Christ in Lander.

Mrs. Freese died Aug. 8, 1992, in Lander. She was born Dec. 31, 1897, in Barron, Wis., to John and Carrie (Brenden) Erickson. She attended Northland (Wis.) College and received a teaching degree.

On June 1, 1947, she married L.W. "Pete" Freese in Jackson.

Mrs. Freese was active in the American Legion in Wis., and served as department president for the state of Wisconsin. She was active for many years in the Lander Methodist Women's Club, Fremont County CowBelles, and Republican Women's Club.

Survivors include her step-daughters, of Lander; two stepsons, both of Lander; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died Feb. 12, 1988, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander.
