Obit..Warren....Jan 24, 1891.
My letter of last week must have been given a place in the waste basket. Please gieve this a place in your paper.
In my last I spoke of father and Mother Beaty being very sick - Mother Beaty is not much better. Father Beaty died Thursday and was buried today in the Embury Graveyard. Rev. Boydson preached the funeral sermon, taking for his text: "He is not here, for He is risen" - Matthew 18:6, to a house full of sorrowing hearers. The paul bearers were John Scott, George Landterbaugh, Daniel Holderfer, J. Dean, John Warner and Samuel Robinson. Mr. Beatty was born in Virginia, in April 1814. Deceased is survived by a wife, three sons and four daughters, four of whom were present at the funeral, the others having been here and returned a few days ago to their homes in Taylor County, IA.
****************
Obit.. Warren... Feb 7, 1891. It is my sad duty to report another death, that of Mother Beaty, who passed away to the better land on the 5th inst. at 4:00 o'clock in the morning. She only lingered thirteen days after her husband had passed to the other shore. She was seventy-four years old and a native of Virginia.
