OBIT: David E. Knutson, 55, passed away September 7, 2002 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Before moving to Fort Lauderdale in 1987 he had lived all his life in Millbrook, Illinois. He was born September 13, 1946 to Margaret Whitfield Knutson and the late Raymond Knutson. He graduated from Yorkville High School in 1964 and attended Knox College and Tulsa University. He received his commercial pilots license from Spartan Aviation in Tulsa. In 1969 he joined the Navy and served as a helicopter pilot on the USS Enterprise. He worked as a corporate pilot at Aurora Airport and was part owner and operator of Valley Industries which built metal buildings locally. In 1987 he moved to Florida and was recently employed as a yacht salesman. He is survived by his mother; his brother, Stephen (Mary) of Evanston and his sister, Mary Ann Doetschman of Yorkville. He also leaves three nephews, Haakon Knutson, Peter and Brady Doetschman. Funeral services for Mr. Knutson will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2002 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, in Yorkville, Illinois, with Father Jerome Zalonis M.I.C. Interment will follow in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery, in Somonauk, Illinois. Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2002 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E.
