THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, July 8, 1956, p. 7: "ED E. TUDOR. Edward E. Tudor, cattleman and farmer, formerly of Paris, died unexpectedly Saturday about 4:30 a.m., suffering a heart attack at home in White Rock community near Petty. The funeral will be held in Paris, Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Gene Roden & Sons chapel, and burial will be made in Meadowbrook Memorial Park. The Rev. J. L. Hyde and the Rev. John Shuler, Methodist pastors, will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jim West, Herman Hopkins, Jesse E. Justiss, Thomas Justiss, James Cunningham and Dixon Shelton. Born at Howland, February 4, 1888, Mr. Tudor was a son of Jeff and Pairlee (Finch) Tudor. The family came to Paris later, and he lived here until moving to his White Rock farm about 10 years ago. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Verda Abels, and their daughters, Mrs. Van Scott, Dallas, and Mrs. Leo Bailey, Kingsville; these children by his former marriage: Thomas Tudor, White Rock; Mrs. Joe Bills, Marshall, and Mrs. Rex Stamper, Weaverville, Calif., and two stepchildren, Albert Cunningham, Paris, and Mrs. David Sandefur, Temple; 12 grandchildren, one great-grand-child, and a half-brother, Frank Fisher, Dallas."
