Marjorie L. (Pierce) Cole-Billings, age 76 years, of Lakeville died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of Lawson H. Bud Billings of 27 years. Born Wednesday, Aug. 1, 1934, in Marion, she was the daughter of the late Welden D. and Annie R. (Rider) Pierce. Marjorie grew up in Wareham and lived most her adult life in Nantucket, where she and her husband Bud ran B+M Distributors for 23 years. After retiring in 2002, they moved to Lakeville. Her favorite thing to do was bowling with the seniors group in Lakeville and loved to go to yard sales with her sister Barbara. She also enjoyed doing crafts and most of all being home spending time with her family. In addition to he husband Bud, she is survived by three children, Warren Cole of Chelmsford, Karen Cole of Lakeville and Scott Cole of Youngstown, Fla.; three stepchildren, James Billings of Maine, Edward Billings of Plympton and Patti Luterman of Lakeville; three grandchildren, Sebrina Shaw, Airon Cole and Tabitha Cole; five step-grandchildren and five great-step-grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Vesy of Lakeville, Janet Howes of New York and Brenda Petroni of Florida; two brothers, Rev. David Pierce of Marion and James Pierce of Utah; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 7, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St., Lakeville. Interment will follow in Agawam Cemetery in Wareham.
