Evelyn A Monskey, age 89, of Hillpoint, passed away on Friday, Sept 14, 2012, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. she was born on Feb 10, 1923, in Big Creek, Juneau County, WI, the daughter of Herbert and Mathilda (Lucht) Pfaff. On Sept 24, 1940, Evelyn was united in marriage to Gustav "Bud" Monskey. This marriage was blessed with three children.
Evelyn was employed as a seamstress for many years at National Sportswear, Reedsburg, and sewed alterations for others from her home. She was a lifelong member of St John Ev Lutheran Church in Hillpoint. Evelyn enjoyed bird watching, viewing sports and Wheel of Fortune on TV. She was a wonderful grandmother who cherished the time spent with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gus; son, Lawrence; grandson, Timothy Kast; brothers, John, Roger and Merton Pfaff; and a sister, Helen Foltz.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Joe) Kast of Reedsburg and Sherry (Don) Muttterer of Hillpoint; daughter-in-law, Bette Monskey of Cambridge; grandchildren, Melody (Richard) Gulseth of Deerfield, Debbie Richert of Reedsburg, Mark (Jan) Kast of Hillpoint, Michelle (Brian) Johnson of Waunakee and Michael (Nancy) Mutterer of LeMont, IL; 13 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn Pfaff of Hillsboro; sister, Loretta Christian of Reedsburg; several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.
Burial will be in St John Cemetery, Hillpoint.
