Karen graduated with the Class of 1970 from Joliet Central High School, and attended Joliet Junior College. Formerly employed by the E J & E Railroad and Harrah's Casino.
She was born February 9, 1952 in Joliet to the late Beverly (nee Nelson) and William Crowley. She was a lifetime Joliet and Elwood area resident.
Karen was the beloved wife of 37 years to Jerry "Boo Boo" Bandura of Elwood. She was a devoted mother and best friend to Jeffrey (Sarah) of Joliet and Tricia Bandura of Minooka, who would often say "we have the best mom ever." Karen was also the dearest sister of the late Jeffrey (1961), and Kelly (Samuel) Studer of Channahon. Proud aunt of four nieces and one nephew. Karen and her family shared a special bond beyond words. Her main passion was enjoying life with her family.
