Mrs. Diane Spencer Coleman, 80, of Memphis, died Monday at her home after a long illness. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. Hinds-Smythe Cosmopolitan Funeral Home has charge. Mrs. Coleman was the granddaughter of the late General Luke Edward Wright who was one of the early owners of the Commercial Appeal, the first governor general of the Philippines and first American ambassador to Japan. She was born in the Philippines. Mrs. Coleman, the widow of Eugene Lee Coleman, and formerly married to Capt. Maurice Neill, leaves a son, Michael S. de Lancey Neill of New York City, and a brother, Gen. Charles Day Palmer of Falls Church, VA.
