Keith Gier Tranbarger, 66, of Kennewick died Thursday in Kennewick. He was born on July 18, 1920 at Conrad, Iowa, and was a registered civil engineer for 25 years in California and Washington. From 1976 to 1982 he was co-owner of the Hayloft Tavern in Kennewick. On Dec. 18, 1949 he married Fern McNamee in Huntington Beach, Calif. Mr. Tranbarger was a member of the Shriner-Scottish Rite Temple of Los Angeles, he was a Mason 32nd Degree of Los Angeles, and he was a member of Blue Lodge No. 670 of Whittier, Calif.

Survivors include his wife, Fern, at home in Kennewick; daughters, Karla Palmer of Kennewick and Carrol Freed of Eudora, Kan.; sons, Kevin of Santa Margarita, Calif., Rhett and Bruce of Kennewick, and Todd of Vallejo, Calif.; sisters, Helen Tranbarger of San Gabriel, Calif., Marcia Thompson of Vista, Calif., and Anita Murphy of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; brothers, Charles Tranbarger of Ravenna, Neb., and Richard Tranbarger of Red Bluff, Calif.; mother, Lucile Tranbarger of Glendora, Calif.; and grandchildren, William Folks, Bobby Folks, and Chuck Folks, all of Eudora, Kan., and Jordyn Day Palmer of Kennewick.

Services are to be at 2 p.m. Monday at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls, followed by private family graveside services at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Visitors may call 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until service time on Monday.
