PETER WOLF
---Peter Wolf, a well known and highly respected farmer living north of La Plata, died very suddenly yesterday morning about 5:00, being stricken with apoplexy.
---He was seventy years, one month and twenty days of age and is survived by his devoted wife and three sons, Alex, Fred and Ed, all of Chicago.
---No funeral arrangements have been made owing to the fact that the boys will not reach here until this evening, on No. 9.

---Peter Wolf was born in Brouch Luxembourg, February 27, 1849, died April 16, 1919.
---He came to America in 1869 and settled in Adair County, Missouri where he has since resided.
---In 1878 he was united in marriage to Miss Cora E. Galloway who survived him. To this union were born four sons, John the eldest, died in infancy. The three remaining are Alexander, Fred and Edward who were present for the funeral.
---Services were held at the home Friday, April 18, conducted by Rev. I.B. Holman and the Knights of Pythias Lodge No. 256. Interment was in the La Plata cemetery.
Peter and Cora had four children:
1) Johnnie Wolff (1879-1880)
2) Alexander D. "Alex" Wolff
---d. 1930
---sp. Agnes Jamison Wolff (1881-1929)
3) Fred Wolfe/Wolff
4) Edward Galloway Wolfe (1890-1970)
