NUNEZ, Ga. - Mr. Junius Benjamin Ridgdill, 74, of Georgia Highway 297, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hendley, Rountree and Powell Funeral Home, Swainsboro, with Tommy Rountree officiating. Burial will be in Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, near Twin City.

Mr. Ridgdill, a native of Emanuel County, was an Army and Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He had retired as a store clerk.

Survivors include a brother, John L. Ridgdill, Vidalia; and six sisters, Dorothy McKenzie and Oris Lewis, both of Swainsboro, Idell Perkins and Marion Haynie, both of Dublin, Ruth Murray, Corning, N.Y., and Frances Johnson, Clearwater, S.C.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Hooks, Michael Hooks, Jerry Hooks, Billy Thompson and Wayne Kersey.

Memorials may be made to Old Canoochee Cemetery, c/o Tommy Rountree, 231 Harmon Road, Swainsboro, GA 30401.

Friends may call at the residence of Oris Lewis, 948 Old Nunez Road, Swainsboro.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
