In her (Sis Cat's) application for a pension for a Confederate soldier's widow, she gives birth dates and locations for herself and Daniel, their marriage date and location (11/2/1852; Stewart Co., Georgia), Daniel's death date and location, and that he was mustered out in April 1865 in North Carolina. One of the informants on a supporting affidavit was her brother, W. R. Upton.
