The Talbotts belonged to the Society of Friends (Quakers). Anna came with her parents in 1838 from Baltimore, MD, to Milton, Wayne Co., IN; they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, about 1844. She married "contrary to discipline," but her request to remain a member was granted. When she and her siblings got together, they used the Quaker Thee and Thou.
