Blanche is buried near her the grave of her first husband. William Tolson's grave has not been located.
Blanche loved her home, was an avid reader, and loved her dog Choppy. They died on the same day. She fell on her front step reaching for something and sustained a fatal skull fracture. Choppy escaped the house while the ambulance was there, tried to chase it, and was struck and killed by a car.
