VIRGINIA BEACH - Mary Jane Abad, 22, died May 20, 2010 in Portsmouth. She was born in Atlantic City, N.J., a graduate of Kellam High School and worked as a certified pharmacy tech at Neighbor Care Pharmaceutical.
She is survived by her mother, Rosemary Convento Shepard and father, Patrick Abad, both of Virginia Beach; stepmother, Linda Abad and stepfather, Reeder Shepard; two daughters, Nacirema Kimora Cooke and Emani Semiona Clayton; two brothers, Gino and Vincent of Philadelphia; grandmothers, Eugenia Convento and Pat Abad; seven aunts and nine uncles; three stepsisters and two stepbrothers, several cousins and many friends and relatives.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Saturday, May 29, at 9 a.m. in Holy Spirit Catholic Church with the Rev. Timothy M. Kuhneman officiating. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
She was very popular as well as a loving daughter and mother and was loved by all. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, today from 6 to 9 p.m.
