Rose was an excellent cook and craftsman. Her entries often were awarded ribbons at the Oklahoma State Fair.

Rose M. (nee Gray) Perry passed away March 21, 2010, at the age of 94, in Edmond, OK. She was born in Smithfield, TX on April 27, 1915. Rose married Ralph L. Perry of Ravenna, TX, in 1933 and after Ralph's service in the military, the couple eventually settled in Oklahoma City in 1954.
Rose was the owner/operator of Wash-Easy Laundry at NW 36th and May Ave. for 10 years, before retiring to pursue her other passions of machine knitting with the Okie Knit-Knuts, turning out afghans for family and friends. She was a member of the Oklahoma Sewing Machine Artists (OKSMA) and later made blankets and Xmas dolls for the Infant Crisis Center in Oklahoma City. She made Xmas stockings for the Veterans in Oklahoma City yearly, pillows for newly born infants for over 20 years and volunteered at the Symphony Show House in Oklahoma City for many years.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in 1998. She is survived by her son, Don Perry and daughter, Judith Von Miller of Edmond, OK.
Visitation will be Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2010, at Memorial Park Funeral Home on N. Kelley, with burial at Rose Hill Burial Park on North Pennsylvania in Oklahoma City.
