DEAD AT 65;
RITES MONDAY
Mrs. Ace C. (Helen Hester) Lytle, on of the few woman members of the American Legion, died Saturday in a local hospital. She was 65 years old.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m . Monday from Carpenter Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Charles S. Mitchell, pastor of Hillcrest Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Garden Cemetery.
Military rites will be observed at graveside. Pallbearers will be Dwight Lee, Frank Bailey, Bob Pemberton, Ted Boudrraux, Dale Daniells, and Roy North.
Mrs. Lytle was born July 2, 1894, in Roswell. She served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and her husband, an employee of U.S. Borax and Chemical Co., is adjutant of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3277.
The home is at 742 Standpipe Road. They had live here five and one-half years.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, is a sister, Mrs. Ruth MacMichael of New York City.
