Married Mary Wilfinson on 24 Dec 1889 in Dearborn County, Indiana. He and his brother George are the only one of the sons and daughter that used the German spelling of the name like there father. The others all used Hitefield changing it cometime in the 1890 and moving to Butler Cty, OH. .
He wa living in Elizabethtown, Hamilton County, Ohio. but died in Kentucky at St Elizabeth Hospital. were his youngest daughter, Nora was a nurse.

None of his children marreied
