This following obituary information was found in a scrapbook belonging to Mrs. Addie (Lonnie) Taylor of Scarbro:


Sarah J Swift, 79 died at 9 a.m. on October 2, 1937 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bruce Sanger, of Oak Hill.

Mrs. Swift suffered 18 days from a heart disease and complications of senility. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Funeral services will be at Scarbro or Oak Hill between 1 and 2 o'clock Monday. Burial will follow at the Hilltop Union Cemetery.

Survivors included her daughters, Mrs. C. G. Jackson and Mrs. A. L. Teubert, of Raleigh Heights, Mrs. Emily Gwinn and Mrs. F. L. Davis, of Mount Hope, Mrs. J. T. Weatherford of Leslie, Mrs. C. R. Graham, of Pittsburgh and a son, Charles Swift of Besoco.
