Ethel is my aunt, my mother's sister. They could pass as twins! I look very like them both. She was born at a time when it was believed that a child born with a "veil" (remnant of amniotic sac) over her face was blessed and was to be given seven names.

Ethel owned and operated Dill's Flower Shop in Jasper, AL - she and her husband Madison Lee, tho Ethel was the heart and soul of the business. She taught me to trim flowers and arrange them as a little girl, in her flower shop. Her son Olen A Dill opened a branch of Dill's Flower Shop in Fayette, AL in 1938 and son Madison Eugene went into the business, including another shop in Georgia. Son Julius C Dill owned and operated Dill's for some 30 years..I think all Ethel's children worked the flower shop at some time or other.

Aunt Ethel was very kind and sweet to me when I was a child, and though my mother and I then moved to another state I never forgot Aunt Ethel's loving attention.
